Artscape, Baltimore’s largest and most beloved annual arts festival attracts an average audience of more than 300,000 people to Midtown Baltimore and the Station North Arts & Entertainment District each summer. BOPA looks forward to returning in 2021 stronger and healthier, as part of the City’s recovery, ready to celebrate the landmark 40th anniversary of Artscape.

2019 Sondheim Winner: Akea Brionne Brown

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) announces Akea Brionne Brown as the winner of 14th annual Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize.

Finalists exhibit at the Walters Art Museum, located at 600 N. Charles St., on Saturday, June 15–Sunday, August 11, 2019. The exhibition and ceremony are free open to the public. The 2019 jurors were Laylah Ali, Regine Basha and William Powhida.
