12PM- 12AM The Art of Ramadan The Impact Hub
10 E. North Avenue
Free

The Art of Ramadan: A Muslim American art showcase will be held at the Impact Hub, including an opening reception, visual art exhibits, live performances, panel discussions, and an art market. The idea for the Art of Ramadan was born in 2013, in an attempt to celebrate the way Ramadan, and Islam more broadly, inspire creative expression. This year, we hope to use the show as a grassroots response to Islamophobia. Muslim-American artists defy national, cultural, and religious stereotypes through their diverse identities and diverse artistic expressions. We seek to celebrate the role that art and artists play in inspiring creative resistance.
