2026 Janet & Walter Sondheim Art Prize Semifinalists Show
Join us at Artscape from May 23 -24, 2026, for the Janet & Walter Sondheim Art Prize Semi-Finalist Exhibition at The Reginald F. Lewis Museum.
Established in 2006 and supported by the Maryland State Arts Council, the Janet & Walter Sondheim Art Prize awards $30,000 to a visual artist or artist collaborators living and working in the Baltimore region.
The exhibition features artists from various disciplines, including painting, photography, sculpture, animation, and fiber craft. Named in honor of philanthropists and civic leaders Janet and Walter Sondheim, the prize celebrates their significant contributions to Baltimore’s arts and culture. Janet Sondheim danced with the pioneering Denishawn Dancers, while Walter Sondheim, Jr. was a key civic leader involved in developing Charles Center and the Inner Harbor.
